Tracker - Events and Notes: App Overview

Why I created the Tracker app

I built the Tracker app to track past events and related information that I was struggling to manage and remember. I would hunt through emails, paper files, computer files and more to find out when I had something done, or who provided service, or how to inquire on a warranty. I’m a Gen-Xer and the list of things to manage seems to get longer as my memory and recall get shorter! Most apps are unnecessarily complicated with more bells and whistles than I’ll ever use, or want to learn to use. My Notes apps don’t organize chronological events in the way that I want. And I love sub-lists – so I made sure the Tracker app allows unlimited sub-lists (subcategories) to organize events in a manner that makes sense. So far, I’ve only used 2 or 3 levels of categories, which is probably sufficient for most people. But, if you need more, you’ve got them!

During the development of this app, I have been using it to track work milestones and home services and repairs. It has been exactly the tool I have been looking for.

The Tracker app is very useful to look up information quickly. It has been kept simple on purpose. Simple tracking of events with dates and notes in categories that make sense to you.

The app is simple with few frills or features that get in the way. I wanted simplicity, and I built it with that in mind.
